Teacher of the Handicapped (Autism)


The Bergen County Special Services School District (BCSS) aims to help students with special needs reach their full potential by addressing their unique needs in a positive learning environment.
2024-2025 School Year District Positions:

Substitute Teacher

  • Must possess a NJ Teaching Certificate, currently hold a NJ Substitute Certificate, or possess 60 College credits.

Substitute Teacher – Assistant

  • High School diploma or GED required.

Substitute Nurse

  • Hold a NJ School Nurse Certificate, currently hold a NJ Substitute School Nurses Certificate OR possess 60 College credits.
  • Must possess a current NJ (RN) License.


Experience working with Students with
Disabilities – preferred for ALL positions.
