About Brilla Public Charter Schools
Brilla Public Charter Schools is a network of K-8th grade schools that currently serves nearly 1,600 students from Mott Haven, University Heights, and other neighborhoods in the Bronx. The network is growing from its current four elementary and two middle schools to five elementary and five middle schools educating some 4,000 students in the Bronx and Paterson, NJ.

NEW JERSEY SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Position Overview:
Brilla Public Charter School, located in Paterson, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic daily substitute to join our passionate team. As a substitute, you will support classroom instruction and provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our students when their lead teacher is absent. This position is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the educational development of young minds and make a positive impact within our school community. The substitute will primarily work within the classroom environment, interacting with students and collaborating with the lead teacher and other staff members. Some duties may require physical exertion, such as assisting students with mobility or participating in outdoor activities. Responsibilities:

NEW JERSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BEHAVIORAL SPECIALIST
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Behavior Specialist is to facilitate excellence in alignment with and execution of the Brilla mission and Strategic Priorities set forth by the Principal. Supervised directly by the Principal and working closely with the Student Services team, the Behavior Specialist is the lead support for teachers in areas of student behavior and character formation. The Behavior Specialist ensures continuity of instructional practice and fidelity to the curriculum, while providing guidance in matters of character formation, classroom management, and student discipline that meet the needs of a particular cohort. The Behavior Specialist assists the Principal in holding the planning and execution of Professional Development exercises, Onboarding, MIPs, Data and Assessment Initiatives, and Cultural Initiatives. The Behavior Specialist supports the Student Services Manager, and other personnel ensuring that systems and procedures are being followed to meet the needs of all students. The Behavior Specialist supports the Principal by conducting both formal and informal classroom observations. At the direction of the Principal, the Behavior Specialist will create and facilitate professional learning opportunities for a variety of community stakeholders.
Additionally, the Behavior Specialist works closely with the campus Social Worker and Student Services Manager. Together, they review assessment data, identify strategies to meet Tier 1, 2, & 3 instructional and behavioral needs, guide collaboration among grade-level team members, observe classrooms and provide live coaching feedback, and reinforce standards and expectations for instructional excellence and student discipline.

- Instructional expertise and command of curricular materials for Elementary School (K - 4th Grade) Character Formation subject areas.
- Provides support and modeling to staff in behavior intervention strategies and dignified engagement and correction.
- Provides support with the creation and completion of functional behavioral assessments (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Monitors student progress and makes referrals working with outside agencies, as appropriate, to support individual student needs.
- Conducts at-risk or mandated counseling sessions for students.

- to identify multi-tiered support systems Tier 2 & 3 behavior support structures and strategies for individual students;
- to provide support and modeling to families in behavior intervention strategies and dignified engagement and correction.

- to plan and lead workshops for instructional staff and families on de-escalation, behavior interventions, and student support;
- to assist with de-escalating students in crisis;
- to attend family meetings regarding student accountability, classroom responsiveness and behavior support, manifestation determination review (MDR) meetings, suspension and expulsion hearings, etc. (this includes meetings that sometimes occur outside of school hours or during days when school is not in session);
- assist in coordinating the re-entry of students returning from disciplinary exclusion to increase access to supports and connection to school site staff and resources;
- provide coordination and facilitation of training and technical assistance to staff and families in implementing restorative practices, which include but are not limited to parent-teacher-student conference, restorative conversations, peer mediation, restorative circles, conflict management, etc.
- Works closely with network and school-based student services teams:
- to analyze incident reports;
- to support and execute multi-tiered support systems Tier 2 & 3 meetings.
- Maintains high standards of professional attire, modeling of core virtues, execution of professional norms, and enthusiastic, regular engagement in ongoing professional development and community-building.
- Contributes to school culture through consistent attendance at school and Brilla-sponsored activities and events, and regular, professional communication.
- Plans, facilitates, and attends regular, mission-critical programming including weekly network leadership meetings, school leadership meetings, SSO meetings, IEP meetings, summer development sessions, data days, parent workshops, family conferences, and other administrative activities.
- Strives to be available by phone after school hours until 7:00 pm as needed to address family questions or concerns (cell phone stipended).

Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Student Services Manager, the English Language Learner Teacher (ELL) provides legally mandated services to identified English Language Learners, as well as students who are identified as needing at-risk interventions. The ELL Teacher pulls out small groups of students and works collaboratively in a teacher team model with the general education teachers using the Hand on English curriculum. The ELL Teacher works with the school administrators to implement school procedures and policies and communicates with students’ parents, guardians, and/or caregivers.The ELL Teacher holds primary responsibility for designing and implementing direct ELL instruction and collaborating with teachers to provide English language support in other content areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of grade-level content curricula to engage students in all content areas and differentiate curriculum and instruction to support all ELLs.
- Co-plans prepares and facilitates daily standards-based lessons that utilize a variety of ELL instructional strategies which differentiate teaching based on the diverse and individual needs of all students.
- Co-teaches with general education teachers and supports student learning through modeling, lesson planning, team teaching, data analysis, and ongoing feedback through dialogue and reflections.
- Manages both regulatory and instructional requirements as an ELL
- Administers Home Language Questionnaires and administers ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS for ELLs to determine student eligibility for ELL services.

Position Overview
As a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC), you will be a vital member of our student support team, ensuring that students with learning disabilities receive the necessary assistance and accommodations to thrive academically and socially. In this role, you will assess students, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborate with teachers and parents, and provide specialized instruction and intervention. By employing evidence-based strategies and a deep understanding of learning disabilities, you will empower our students to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and evaluate students with learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet students' unique needs.
