PT School Bus Driver w/FT Benefits
Des Moines Public Schools is the state's largest provider of K-12 education. The district is looking for part-time school bus drivers. Sign-on bonus included of $2,000 for a new driver and $5,000 if the driver already has a CDL and endorsements. Drivers will receive family health, dental, and vision insurance. If the driver participates in the district's wellness program, family health insurance is offered at no-cost to the employee!
Job Summary:
Operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner to insure the safety of passengers.
Successful candidates for this position:
Twenty (20) years of age or older
Ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within a 60-day period. Ability to obtain State of Iowa School Bus Operators permit. The district will assist new employees with obtaining these. Training is paid.
Position Details:
Academic School Year (August - May)
Monday - Friday Split Shift
20-25 hours a week
Salary: $20.93 per hour
Extra hours may be available for evening and weekend field trips and summer work
