Adjunct Instructor 1 - African American Studies – Ferris State University. Teach one section of African American Studies in Fall 2022 semester.
One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: Master's degree in African American Studies; OR Master's degree in another field in the Humanities, Social Sciences, OR Arts with 18 credits in African American Studies courses OR a combination of cognate courses--such cognate disciplines may include: Anthropology, English, Art History, Sociology, History, American Studies, or Philosophy. Accounting for the interdisciplinary nature of the field of African American Studies, graduate courses taken in other disciplines with a focus on race or ethnicity are also acceptable. Required: Prior teaching experience of African American Studies at the high school level or higher.
