The Gilboa-Conesville Central School District is accepting applications for the following position:
General and Instrumental Music Teacher
This is a full-time, 10-month position. Valid NYS certification is required. Salary is per the GFA Contract, starting at $47,350.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated General and Instrumental Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an engaging music curriculum for students of various skill levels. Responsibilities include teaching general music classes, leading instrumental ensembles, and fostering a love of music through creative instruction. The teacher will assess student progress, prepare performances, and collaborate with faculty to support school-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach general music classes and instrumental instruction.
Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Conduct and prepare students for performances.
Provide individualized instruction to support student growth.
Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with staff, parents, and the community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.
Teaching certification
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
