The College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at Montana State University Northern (MSUN), invites applications for an academic-year (10-month), tenure-track Assistant Professor of Teacher Education position, anticipated to begin August 1, 2023. The program delivers instruction and services to students located on the MSU-Northern and Great Falls campuses. This position manages facets of the assessment and certification of candidates for initial education programs including collaboration with institutional, state, and national partners (60%). Primary teaching responsibilities support clinical experience courses (40%). Duties and responsibilities of this position also include the ability to engage in curricular and programmatic design, program assessment, and national and state accreditation preparation. This position can be flexibly based in Great Falls or Havre with regular travel between locations.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills:
· Doctoral degree in education discipline or Higher Education Administration. ABD candidates will be considered if the doctorate is successfully defended by August 1, 2023.
· 3- 5 years experience as a teacher or administrator in a K-12 school setting or related experience in a college or university.
· Demonstrated ability to teach and work effectively with persons from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
· Commitment to working cooperatively with faculty, staff, students, administrators, and surrounding education agencies.
