The position of Assistant Director of Education and Licensing is currently available with the North Carolina
Real Estate Commission in Raleigh. A summary is outlined below.
EMPLOYER: North Carolina Real Estate Commission, a North Carolina state agency responsible for the licensing and regulation of North Carolina real estate brokers and time share projects
POSITION: Assistant Director of Education & Licensing
Salary $71,310 - $85,572 (depending on experience)
DUTIES: Oversees the creation and distribution of Commission publications and social media initiatives.
Assists the Director with overseeing the education, examination, and licensing programs statewide.
Assists the Director with overseeing the creation and delivery of educational content for Commission mandated courses.
Assists the Director with supervision of the administration of the Commission’s Prelicensing, Postlicensing, and Continuing Education programs.
Creates educational content for Commission-mandated courses for education providers and/or brokers, such as the annual Update Courses, Update Instructor Seminars, and Issues and Answers Course.
Travels across the state to teach Commission courses to brokers and instructors.
Presents on License Law and Commission rules addressing real estate brokerage activity, as well as instructor training across the state.
Conducts in-person audits of real estate education courses on a statewide basis to determine if courses meet the requirements set forth under License Law and Commission rules.
Collaborates with the Regulatory Affairs Division on licensing and disciplinary issues, and the rulemaking process.
MINIMUM QUALIFIATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited law school preferred or a master’s degree, or higher, in education, real estate or related field plus considerable experience in real estate brokerage and adult education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
