Provides executive-level administrative support and assistance to the University Audit Department (UAD) to limited audit tasks. Responsible for maintaining records, budget, and other financial records in the UAD. Also responsible for being the secretary for the Audit, Compliance and Human Resources Committee for the Board of Visitors. Due to the exposure given to audits and activities, it is critical that the work of this position be of a very high quality.
Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge in using computer software such Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent proofreading and editing skills. Demonstrated ability to execute all financial transactions for the department. Demonstrated ability to provide exemplary customer service to internal and external constituents. Demonstrated ability in coordinating and planning executive level administrative support activities. Demonstrated ability in drafting and preparing correspondence for executives, interpreting, and explaining policies and procedures, and independently initiating and carrying out projects. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. Demonstrated ability to use decision-making skills to solve problems. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and apply independent judgment. Considerable experience providing executive level administrative support activities. Considerable experience with communicating with executives, and employees. Considerable experience synthesizing information and editing using Microsoft Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of the University’s policies and procedures. Working knowledge of state government practices. Some coursework in business administration, public administration, or related field; equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted. Some experience using Banner. Some experience in higher education. Some experience in an Audit Department.
