Roxbury Central School has the following opening: One-Year Licensed Teaching Assistant Certified LTA with a starting salary of $23,600 from 9/3/24 to 6/27/25 with benefits as per the RTA contract. We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in providing high-quality instruction to students. The successful candidate will assist lead teachers in classroom management, lesson preparation, and individualized instruction for students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include reinforcing lessons, helping with grading, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting students with special educational plans (IEPs). Additionally, the assistant will supervise students during non-instructional activities, such as lunch and recess, ensuring their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for working with children. A valid teaching assistant license is required, along with experience in a school setting. Familiarity with educational technology and differentiated instruction is a plus.
