Sussex-Wantage Regional School District Achieving Excellence Security Guard The primary responsibility of this position is ensuring the safety and security of students and staff. Security Guards are responsible for patrolling school facilities and grounds to prevent disruptive or illegal actions, access to restricted areas, and theft and vandalism. The work involves performing a variety of tasks, such as assignments at a fixed post or roving patrol duties. This 10-month position is expected to begin on or about September 07, 2023, through June 30, 2024. Position requirements include: Retired law enforcement: Required criminal history background check Demonstrated unblemished career as a law enforcement officer Knowledge of child welfare and compulsory education laws and regulations Valid weapon carry permit as assigned by the Superintendent of NJ State Police, with broad authorization to carry a weapon on school property First Aid/CPR/AED Certified, preference given to NJDOE Safety Strong interpersonal and communication skills Reliable, trustworthy, and ability to handle disruptive situations with students Ability to work cooperatively with school personnel Submit a letter of interest and resume to: Mr. Michael Gall Superintendent 27 Bank Street Sussex, NJ 07461 Technology Teacher MS Level Full time, Position available immediately Special Education Teacher (x2) Elementary Level, Available September 5, 2023 Playground/Cafeteria Aide Part-time.
