Senior Mental Health Counselor/Training Coordinator
The State University of New York at Fredonia seeks qualified applicants for a full time, 12 month Senior Mental Health Counselor/Training Coordinator to join our team beginning January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing brief individual, group, and crisis counseling, treating students with developmental and mental health concerns.
The candidate will conduct mental status assessments and make appropriate recommendations regarding student psychological welfare and substance use behaviors; provide individual and group clinical supervision to staff and graduate interns; develop graduate intern training policies and procedures in adherence with CACREP and NYS Office of Professions standards; Recruit and on-board graduate trainees; and develop and facilitate professional development trainings.
The successful candidate must serve a diverse population of students in an inclusive and multiculturally competent manner. A license as a NYS Mental Health Practitioner with diagnostic privilege, as well as training and experience in clinical supervision is required.
This is a full-time, twelve-month, UUP represented SL-4 term appointment beginning January 2025 at an annual salary range of $62,596 - $67,596.
