Paraprofessionals, Reading Interventionist, Student Resource Officer
Umo "Ho" Nation Public School District is currently accepting applications for the following positions:
Paraprofessionals
The person in this position works under the general supervision of the principal or director of
special education. The paraeducator works with the teacher to create a positive learning environment for all students.
This person will work as a whole group, small group, and individual settings with students, help implement special
programming for students, as well as help with clerical needs for the teacher.
Reading Interventionist
The person in this position works under the general supervision of the paraprofessionals, and
certified staff member. The intervention implementer will implement direct instruction reading programs to small groups
of students. This person will also work in the individual settings with students, help implement special programming for
students, as well as help with clerical needs for the teacher.
Student Resource Officer
Provides security for the school district staff, students, buildings and property through patrol of
school building(s) and building perimeters, including parking lots, to prevent unauthorized visitors or property
damage, athletic complex, transportation building, outdoor classroom, school garden and to provide for general
building security; does related work as required. The Security reports to the Athletic Director.
