Position: Coordinator of Student and Staff Success
Position Purpose:
To plan, direct, facilitate and provide leadership, in coordination with other administrators, in providing professional learning opportunities that supports the district’s educational program and services. To plan, direct, facilitate and provide leadership, in coordination with other administrators, in the development and implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) district-wide.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for all aspects of the district professional learning plan
- Leads district Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) efforts
- Coordinates district Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) practices
- Works collaboratively with district and building administration to support the district Academic Intervention Services (AIS)
- Supports the instructional cycle through quality first instruction that utilizes instructional coaching, protocols and data-driven discussion to enhance student learning
- Supports the district strategic plan and culturally responsive-sustaining education efforts
- Works collaboratively with district and building administration to support enrichment and acceleration efforts
- Supports community engagement efforts, including oversight of volunteer program and Family Fall Festival
Performance Responsibilities:
- Leads the New Teacher Program
- Create, implement and monitor a district MTSS plan
- Works closely between the Office of Instruction and Student Support Services
- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates the District’s Professional Learning Program, Superintendent Conference Days, Mentoring Program, and New Teacher Orientation through collaborative work with District leaders.
- Coordinates and maintains the required record keeping of professional learning for instructional staff to meet the State mandated requirements.
- Facilitates and supervises the work of the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Oversees the review, selection, ordering, and support for instructional materials associated with areas of responsibilities.
- Collaborates and innovates with other members of the leadership team to identify, plan, deliver, and assess professional learning needs of the District.
- Facilitates the Professional Learning Committee to maintain and keep current the State required Professional Learning Plan.
- Responsible for the preparation of proposed budgets related to areas of supervision.
- Oversees mentoring program for new instructional staff and provides District-Level oversight of new instructional staff during probationary period.
- Performs such other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment:
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements:
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Qualifications Profile:
Certification/License:
- Must be New York State certified as a School District Administrator (SDL).
Education:
- A minimum of eight years of successful professional employment experience in education, including teaching, supervision, and curriculum work. Building level administrative or district-wide curriculum leadership required.
- Graduate study with emphasis on curriculum, supervision, and administration preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
